TASTE THE ART 2009TASTE THE ART 2009 is a refinement of the TASTE THE ART concept and event held at ARoS Aarhus art gallery in September 2007.
Based on works of art Nordic food creators take the audience on a different and sense-stimulating journey into a universe of colours, flavours and taste experiences. From Greenland and Iceland through Norway and Finland to Sweden and Denmark the audience is brought into close culinary contact with food cultures, raw materials, preparation and with works of art that inspire new flavours, food expressions and compositions.
Through the creative hands of chefs the audience is shown how art becomes food and food becomes art, and – through exquisite, aesthetic and unique, visual impressions and taste sensations – presented with interpretations of our Nordic cultural inheritance, identity and values – the Nordic cuisine’s potential is presented and developed.
There will not be TASTE THE ART activities in 2012, but we hope to continue the Nordic Food Festival in 2013.
